Siyam World and CLEAN Maldives Launch Pioneering Plastic Upcycling Facility
Siyam World Maldives, in collaboration with the local environmental NGO CLEAN Maldives, has introduced a dedicated plastic upcycling facility. A major step forward in its commitment to sustainable hospitality.
By transforming plastic waste into reusable materials, the initiative strengthens our focus on responsible environmental practices while also engaging the broader community.
The project was made possible through a grant awarded to CLEAN Maldives under the World Bank-funded Plastic Free Rivers and Seas for South Asia (PLEASE) Project, implemented by the South Asia Co-operative Environment Program (SACEP) with support from the United Nations Office of Project Services (UNOPS).
More than just a waste solution, this initiative reflects a growing movement toward long-term environmental responsibility. Turning everyday challenges into opportunities for lasting change.
