WHY STAY AT OLHUVELI

The Paradise of Plenty

This is a destination designed for the active adventurers and intrepid explorers. The Signature Brand moments and experiences at the hotel go above and beyond the ordinary. There’s a reason Siyam Olhuveli is known as ‘The Paradise of Plenty’.

Three islands-One resort

If you have read about or travelled to the Maldives, you are likely familiar with the term ‘one island, one resort’ - meaning each resort is nestled on its own private island, which, in the hotel world, is pretty much the dream. Sun Siyam Olhuveli, however, defies all norms with its not one but three (three!) islands, one resort configuration. You read that right. Three picture-perfect islands, aptly named ‘Dream’, ‘Main’ and ‘Romance’.

A Playground for the Active Adventurers

Olhuveli’s impossibly blue lagoons are a playground for surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing and all other sports involving a board and gliding. But also parasailing, jet-skiing, scuba diving, flyboarding, wakeboarding, and mono-skiing. The choice is so vast that we propose curated packages for kids, couples, families, and extreme-sports enthusiasts. This is a destination designed for the active adventurers and intrepid explorers.

Plentiful Dining

At our ‘Paradise of Plenty’ eateries abound. From overwater Asian fine-dining, to Indian cuisine served in private beach cabanas, to intimate dinners for two on a floating platform in the middle of the lagoon, there’s a myriad of exceptional restaurants and bars.

Wild Wild Wildlife

Dive among shipwrecks, increasing the chance of spotting the Maldives’ aquatic creatures. Closer to home (more precisely at the far end of the jetty) is Manta Point. This is where after dark, magnificent manta rays gather to feed on plankton. Yes, the resort is conveniently located next to a natural feeding ground for these wild creatures.

The More, the Merrier

Because of how conveniently located our resort is from Malé (a short speedboat ride), Sun Siyam Olhuveli seamlessly mixes business with pleasure. Our conference and event facilities are state-of-the-art. Not to mention, team-building activities, dining menus, and evening entertainment are easily organised by our dedicated MICE team.

Useful Information

For some, planning the trip is their favourite part of the journey. For others, not so much. Either way, we gathered the most popular questions to give you the answers you are looking for.

You may check in as from 14:00.

Check-out is as noon on the day of departure.
You may choose between Bed and Breakfast, Half Board, Full Board and All Inclusive. There is something for everyone. Please get in touch with us for more details on what is included.
You are at a resort in the Maldives so we don’t expect a tuxedo or a ski suit. While sandy toes do equate to relaxation, some of our fine-dining restaurants are a chance to dress up a little. You will find more information in the Restaurant pages.
We have a strict ‘No Drone’ policy, outlined below:
We prohibit the operation of unmanned aerial systems or drones, on or above the resort by any of our guests or employees, including model aircraft by recreational users. This includes drones used for filming or videotaping, as well as drones used by media or journalists operating above or within the resort area boundaries. This prohibition extends to any devices launched or operated from the property, as well as any launched from private property outside of the resort area boundaries.

Occasionally, Sun Siyam Resorts may use a drone for commercial purposes. In these instances, we do our utmost to protect our guests’ privacy and peace.

Our rates exclude applicable taxes and service charges. There is a 17% Goods & Services tax, a 10% Service Charge, and a Green Tax set a USD 12 per guest per day.

The Island

Fun fact: The Maldives is homes to the ocean’s largest fish. The majestic whale shark, lovingly dubbed ‘gentle giant’ can grow up to 12 meters long!
